Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nguyễn Liem started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Phạm Nam took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Trần Khoi. Ha Dong's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Chuong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Trần Khoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute Nguyễn Chuong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Khoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Bien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Liem, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Nguyễn Liem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nguyễn Bien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Vinah Long booed when Ha Dong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vũ Loc didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Ha Dong's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Chuong came free, but Trần Khoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Vinah Long was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Tinh to maneuver through the defense. Trần Khoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Tuan Hoang, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute, Nguyễn Liem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Vinah Long's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Liem came free, but Nguyễn Bien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute, Nguyễn Chuong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trần Khoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Ha Dong players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vinah Long were winning 0-2.

Nguyễn Liem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huỳnh Chung hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Vinah Long's Lê Tuan Hoang slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Trần Khoi. That made the score 2-3 after 84 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Ha Dong's Vũ Loc got a free kick in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Chuong sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Trần Khoi threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Nguyễn Chuong this time. Trần Khoi came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Vinah Long's Nguyễn Chuong. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Chuong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Chuong in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trần Khoi saved Ha Dong from getting behind. In the 99th minute of the match, Nguyễn Chuong tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Trần Khoi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Although Ha Dong had been in control for most of the match, Vinah Long still came away with the win.
