Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Lê Viet notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Vinah Long's Nguyễn Bien. Nguyễn Bien was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Đào Loc made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Lê Tuan Hoang sent off a good shot on target. Nguyễn Bien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Viet in the 11th minute of the match. Đào Loc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Ho, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a little luck, Tay Ninh's Đào Loc got control of the ball when Lê Tuan Hoang tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute Nguyễn Chuong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Đào Loc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Võ Hung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Chuong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Đào Loc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Huỳnh Chung managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vinah Long's supporters rose to their feet, but Huỳnh Chung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Đào Loc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phạm Bien in the 34th minute of play forced Vinah Long's goalkeeper Nguyễn Bien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Bien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phạm Bien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Nguyễn Ho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Đào Loc. The goal made the score 2-1. Võ Than hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, Tay Ninh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vũ Thi Ngoc to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Nguyễn Chuong made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Tay Ninh's zone, Nguyễn Ho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Đào Loc came out of the goal and Nguyễn Ho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Đào Loc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huỳnh Chung in the 57th minute of play. Phạm Nam's late challenge caught a Tay Ninh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Phạm Nam helped the player get up and apologised. Phạm Nam hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Bien made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phạm Bien in the 65th minute. Lê Tuan Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đào Loc having to interfere. Đào Loc came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Vinah Long's Nguyễn Ho. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Ho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 75 minutes into the match, Tay Ninh's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Chuong came free, but Đào Loc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nguyễn Chuong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Vinah Long's goalkeeper Nguyễn Bien had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Phạm Bien. A hard shot 86 in the game by Phạm Bien from a close distance when the talented Nguyễn Bien managed to make a qualified save. Vinah Long's players were relieved. Nguyễn Bien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Viet in the 95th minute of play. Vinah Long were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tay Ninh for a fine match.
