When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Tomás Sá sped through Hai Duong's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nguyễn Thien. In the 67th minute, Tomás Sá left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cao Bang Red Star fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After having played for 74 minutes, Tomás Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cao Bang Red Star's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Hai Duong's goal looked a bit too open when Hoàng Phuoc came free, but Nguyễn Thien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cao Bang Red Star walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
