After 23 played minutes Samba got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Phuoc. If Lê Cadeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Lê Cadeo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hà Nội's supporters rose to their feet, but Lê Cadeo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Chung breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Hà Nội getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nguyễn Minh-ha hit a great ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Lê Cadeo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Samba's Nguyễn Chung was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trần Hoang made a kick off. Samba's Nguyễn Diem got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hà Nội's goalkeeper Trần Ritchell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 56 minutes, Nguyễn Duc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hà Nội and the Samba players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lê Van Tai Em's late challenge caught a Samba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lê Van Tai Em helped the player get up and apologised. Lê Van Tai Em hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. A collision led to Hà Nội getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Lê Duong hit a great ball. In the 85th minute of the match Dương Dung shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trần Ritchell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. During the 87th minute of the match Lê Van Tai Em completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lê Van Tai Em a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Lê Van Tai Em hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Đoàn Hanh's late challenge caught a Hà Nội's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Samba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hà Nội had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
