Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lê Phu kicked off to start the match. Phan Phu came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Viet Tri's Nguyễn Hoai. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Hoai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Lê Phu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Phan Phu was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. If Phạm Ritchell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nguyễn Thuyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phạm Ritchell in the 12th minute of play. Trần Viet kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Phan Phu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ngô Hung in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Viet Tri's goal looked a bit too open when Phạm Ritchell came free, but Nguyễn Thuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nguyễn Loc kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Viet Tri's Nguyễn Hoai got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Hoai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phan Phu having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viet Tri's goalkeeper Nguyễn Thuyet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nguyễn Thuyet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Ho in the 31st minute of the match. Phạm Ritchell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Nguyễn Thuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nguyễn Ho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phạm Ritchell in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Thuyet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Loc got free with Nguyễn Thuyet in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phạm Ritchell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Viet Tri getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Lê Nghiêm-Minh hit a great ball. In the 56th minute Phạm Ritchell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Thuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Nguyễn Loc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ⭐Vietnam Stars⭐'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Loc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Đặng Duy's late challenge caught a Viet Tri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Đặng Duy helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ⭐Vietnam Stars⭐ getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Đặng Duy hit a great ball. Phan Phu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Phu in the 61st minute of play. Trần Duc charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trần Duc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, one of ⭐Vietnam Stars⭐:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ⭐Vietnam Stars⭐. If Nguyễn Loc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phan Cong Vinh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Nguyễn Thuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phạm Ritchell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Thuyet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Phạm Ritchell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thuyet having to interfere. Nguyễn Thuyet had in the 86thth minute some difficulties stopping Phạm Ritchell's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 93rd minute, Phan Cong Vinh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Phan Phu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Hoai in the 97th minute of the match. Although ⭐Vietnam Stars⭐ had been in control for most of the match, Viet Tri still came away with the win.
