Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Trần Hoang started the match with the kick off. After 2 minutes, Hồ Hoai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bien Hoa and the Samba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute Nguyễn Diem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Binh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nguyễn Huy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Huy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Nguyễn Chung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bien Hoa's Nguyễn Mai got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Bien Hoa's Nguyễn Hung got a free kick in the 12th minute. Bien Hoa's Lê Binh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Hoang in the 15th minute of play. If Nguyễn Diem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Samba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Nguyễn Chung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Mai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Phuoc kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Samba's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Mai came free, but Nguyễn Chung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nguyễn Mai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 90th minute, Nguyễn Diem fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lê Binh, passed just outside the right post.
