Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dương Nam took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Lao Cai 24's Dương Nam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Chung narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Samba's Nguyễn Chung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Lam in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Đỗ Chung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lao Cai 24's supporters crossed their fingers, but Đỗ Chung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Đoàn Hanh kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Nguyễn Lam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Chung having to interfere. The supporters of Samba booed when Lao Cai 24 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Hoang didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Lao Cai 24's goalkeeper Lê Cuc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Diem. In the 26th minute, Phạm Lan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Nguyễn Phuoc kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lê Cuc. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. In the 31st minute, Nguyễn Diem reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lê Cuc. The goal made the score 2-0. After a rather tough play, Samba's Nguyễn Phuoc got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Phạm Lan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Chung having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Samba's zone, Dương Nam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Chung came out of the goal and Dương Nam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samba's Nguyễn Chung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Lam in the 41st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Nguyễn Lam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lao Cai 24's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Lam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Chung breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th match minute, Lao Cai 24 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đinh Tong to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Lam in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Chung prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Trần Hoang to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Trần Hoang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Cuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nguyễn Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Lao Cai 24's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Diem came free, but Lê Cuc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Đoàn Hanh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Cuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Samba's Nguyễn Phuoc got a free kick in the 67th minute. The supporters of Lao Cai 24 booed when Samba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Đoàn Hanh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Chung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dương Nam in the 74th minute of the match. Chung Quang Thanh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Phuoc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Cuc having to interfere. Lê Cuc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Đoàn Hanh, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Lê Cuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Diem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Lam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nguyễn Chung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Samba got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Phuoc. An unexpectedly hard shot by Đoàn Hanh in the 89th minute of play forced Lao Cai 24's goalkeeper Lê Cuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Chung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dương Nam in the 90th minute of the match. Chung Quang Thanh hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Nguyễn Diem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Many of Lao Cai 24's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Lao Cai 24 may have spent more time on the ball, but Samba were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
