With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trần Ritchell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Tu in the 11th minute of play forced Hà Nội's goalkeeper Trần Ritchell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Hà Nội's goal looked a bit too open when Ngô Minh Phượng came free, but Trần Ritchell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hà Nội's Trần Ritchell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Đào Than in the 13th minute of play. In the 19th minute Nguyễn Tu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Ritchell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hà Nội's Lê Van Tai Em got a free kick in the 19th minute. Trần Ritchell came out of the goal and Đào Than tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Trần Thai fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ayun Pa's protests and gave Trần Thai a yellow card for diving instead. Nguyễn Tuan had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Nguyễn Minh-ha's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. During the 56th minute of the match Trần Thai completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Trần Thai a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ayun Pa! The referee gave Hà Nội a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nguyễn Minh-ha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ayun Pa's Nguyễn Tuan. 1-0. Ayun Pa made a substitution. Trần Viet replaced Nguyễn Tu. 69 minutes into the match, Ngô Minh Phượng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trần Ritchell. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ayun Pa players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
