Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Lao Baoa's Trần Thanh started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vũ Duy kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After having played for 5 minutes, Đỗ Chung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lao Cai 24's supporters crossed their fingers, but Đỗ Chung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lê Cuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vũ Duy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Lê Binh notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lao Cai 24's Lê Cuc. Lê Cuc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lê Binh might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lê Cuc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lê Binh ran back to his position shaking his head. Lê Cuc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lê Binh's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Lê Cuc came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Lao Baoa's Lê Binh. But to his dismay, Lê Binh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Nguyễn Hoai hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Liễu Tuyet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dương Nam in the 26th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Tran notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Lao Cai 24's Lê Cuc. Lê Cuc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute Vũ Duy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Cuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute Trần Thanh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Cuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Lao Baoa were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dương Nam to make the kick off. Lao Cai 24's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Trần Thanh scored to the left of an out of position Lê Cuc, making the score, 0-6. Nguyễn Mai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Cuc having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Trần Thanh recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lê Cuc. Trần Thanh showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Lê Cuc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nguyễn Tran in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Phạm Lan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lao Cai 24's supporters rose to their feet, but Phạm Lan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liễu Tuyet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vũ Duy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Cuc having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vũ Duy during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lao Cai 24 booed when Lao Baoa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vũ Duy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vũ Duy hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Đỗ Chung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lao Cai 24's Dương Nam in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lao Baoa's goalie prevented a goal. Trần Thanh scored 0-8 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lê Cuc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lê Binh's late challenge caught a Lao Cai 24's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lê Binh helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Lao Baoa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Binh to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the game, Trần Thanh recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lê Cuc. Trần Thanh showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. Lao Cai 24's Lê Cuc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Lao Cai 24 from getting a goal against them. Phan Ritchell kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lao Baoa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
