Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nguyễn Viet made the kick off which started today's match. Phan Hong did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Tạ Nga 3 minutes into the match. Phạm Tong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Huỳnh Minh-ha having to interfere. Tay Ninh's Lê Nghiêm-Minh got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tạ Nga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Hong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Bac Ninh's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Hong came free, but Tạ Nga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nguyễn Cadeo fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bac Ninh's protests and gave Nguyễn Cadeo a yellow card for diving instead. Tạ Nga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Hong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phan Hong in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tạ Nga saved Bac Ninh from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phan Hong in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tạ Nga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Phạm Nam came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Tay Ninh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phạm Nam couldn't finish the play. In the 45thth minute of the game Phan Hong who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bac Ninh's Tạ Nga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Phan Hong hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Tạ Nga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phạm Nam, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Phạm Nam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lê Nghiêm-Minh's late challenge caught a Bac Ninh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lê Nghiêm-Minh helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Tay Ninh got a freekick which was hit by Lê Nghiêm-Minh. Phạm Nam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Tạ Nga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tạ Nga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Hong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Phan Tho hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Bac Ninh's Nguyễn Pham got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After some careless play in the Bac Ninh defense, Phạm Nam kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tạ Nga. The Bac Ninh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tạ Nga should have stopped the shot. Phạm Nam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Tạ Nga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bac Ninh's zone, Phạm Nam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tạ Nga came out of the goal and Phạm Nam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Tay Ninh fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Tay Ninh's Phạm Nam looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Bac Ninh's Trần Phong got a free kick in the 88th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Phạm Nam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tay Ninh's supporters rose to their feet, but Phạm Nam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tạ Nga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tạ Nga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phạm Nam in the 93rd minute of play. Phạm Nam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Tạ Nga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tay Ninh had played much better football throughout.
