An unexpectedly hard shot by Đoàn Tinh in the 28th minute of play forced Bac Ninh's goalkeeper Tạ Nga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Phạm Tong got free with Phan Duong in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Đoàn Tinh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lao Bao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Tạ Nga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Đoàn Tinh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 played minutes, Bac Ninh's Nguyễn Pham shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Phan Duong came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
