After 10 played minutes Bac Ninh got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Cadeo. Tạ Nga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Đoàn Tu in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Phan Cong Vinh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thai Ngudyen's supporters rose to their feet, but Phan Cong Vinh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tạ Nga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Thai Ngudyen booed when Bac Ninh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Phuong didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nguyễn Liem stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
