After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Phạm Minh managed to get in a good position for a shot. REAL MARIAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Phạm Minh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Huỳnh Minh-ha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lê Anh Hung in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Huỳnh Minh-ha saved Tay Ninh from getting behind. If Phạm Nam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind REAL MARIAD's goalkeeper Đào Chuong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 15 minutes, Phạm Nam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tay Ninh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phạm Nam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phan Hong made a kick off. In the 75th minute, Nguyễn Thuy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Nguyễn Thuy came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the REAL MARIAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Thuy couldn't finish the play. If Lê Anh Hung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Thuy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Huỳnh Minh-ha having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tôn Liem during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. REAL MARIAD's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
