After 6 played minutes Huế got a freekick which was hit by Triệu Anh Hung. Placido Paul took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Set Doig. Set Doig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Set Doig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Paul in the 18th minute of the match. Lê Binh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Đoàn Thuyet in the 19th minute of the match. Minh City FC's Set Doig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Zemmamouche in the 20th minute of play. Huế's Nguyễn Thanh was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Set Doig in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 23 minutes into the match, Minh City FC's Fabien Defer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 31stth minute of the game Placido Paul who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Minh City FC's Set Doig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Placido Paul put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Set Doig. In the 36th minute Đoàn Thuyet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Binh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 minutes Minh City FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nguyễn Thanh who took care of the corner kick.

Lê Binh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc-Olivier Cortès, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Nguyễn Thanh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Đoàn Thuyet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lê Binh was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Lê Binh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Đoàn Thuyet in the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Nguyễn Bien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Tấn Dũng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Lê Binh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Huế got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Bien. A collision led to Huế getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Nguyễn Bien hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Nguyễn Thanh got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 70 minutes into the match, Đoàn Thuyet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lê Binh. Huế's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Đoàn Thuyet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hồ Anh Hung during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th minute Lê Mai suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. When Triệu Anh Hung fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huế's protests and gave Triệu Anh Hung a yellow card for diving instead. Lê Binh came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Minh City FC's Fabien Defer. But to his dismay, Fabien Defer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. When Triệu Anh Hung was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. Triệu Anh Hung kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Đoàn Thuyet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Lê Binh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Đoàn Thuyet scored 5-2 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lê Binh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 95 minutes of play, Huế's Placido Paul made it 5-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Set Doig was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Minh City FC fully deserved thier win.
