A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Poseidon's Vágner Dias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Văn Van Quyen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Evaristo Gaitano kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Nghiêm Bien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Thorsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Poseidon getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Gonçalo Loureiro hit a great ball. Mattias Thorsberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trần Quang Thanh in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Poseidon's Boleslaw Moizuk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Văn Van Quyen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Nghiêm Bien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Vágner Dias put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Văn Van Quyen. Mattias Thorsberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nghiêm Bien showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 40 minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, AC Viet Tri 24's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Dias came free, but Văn Van Quyen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonçalo Loureiro hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nghiêm Bien to make the kick off. When Gonçalo Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Poseidon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonçalo Loureiro couldn't finish the play. Văn Van Quyen made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Vágner Dias sent off a good shot on target. AC Viet Tri 24's Văn Van Quyen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Loureiro in the 59th minute of play. After 62 minutes, Lê Phong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Viet Tri 24 and the Poseidon players grew even worse after the yellow card. 1-4 became the score in the 65th minute when Vágner Dias elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gonçalo Loureiro hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Phan Minh-ha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Văn Van Quyen having to interfere. With a little luck, AC Viet Tri 24's Văn Van Quyen got control of the ball when Vágner Dias tried to sneak it across the goal line. AC Viet Tri 24's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vágner Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. 89 minutes into the match, AC Viet Tri 24's goalkeeper Văn Van Quyen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vágner Dias. Lưu Phuong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Poseidon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
