Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Sajeev Ning came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Holton-le-Clay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sajeev Ning couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Farhan Ching in the 5th minute of play forced Holton-le-Clay's goalkeeper Gara Paine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Holton-le-Clay's goal looked a bit too open when Noh Teo came free, but Gara Paine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Sajeev Ning cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. John Amin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Farhan Ching had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gainsborough's zone, Sajeev Ning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Amin came out of the goal and Sajeev Ning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Holton-le-Clay's Sajeev Ning sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that John Amin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, Gainsborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noh Teo to maneuver through the defense. Gara Paine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noh Teo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Sajeev Ning made the kick off in the second half. Gara Paine didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Azam Ramachandran went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Lamar Ramachandran took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Gara Paine to make any attempt to save it. John Amin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sajeev Ning in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Sajeev Ning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Amin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gara Paine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azam Ramachandran in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, Holton-le-Clay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dale Swee to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the game, Alex Leng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holton-le-Clay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gainsborough the free kick. After a rather tough play, Holton-le-Clay's Alex Leng got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute, Dale Swee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
