Bryan Hian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wong Dryburgh having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Bryan Hian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selsdon City's supporters rose to their feet, but Bryan Hian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ron Nagasaki was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Selsdon City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noh Sarangapani to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers SK Koh in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wong Dryburgh saved Ashton-under-Lyne from getting behind. Wong Dryburgh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from SK Koh, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. SK Koh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by SK Koh in the 70th minute of play forced Ashton-under-Lyne's goalkeeper Wong Dryburgh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Sarb Yi-Sheng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selsdon City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ashton-under-Lyne the free kick. The supporters of Ashton-under-Lyne booed when Selsdon City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sarb Yi-Sheng didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Ashton-under-Lyne's Afiz Hsi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Wong Dryburgh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from SK Koh in the 76th minute of play. In the 90th minute, SK Koh made a precise shot to the right of Wong Dryburgh. Ashton-under-Lyne's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After some careless play in the Ashton-under-Lyne defense, SK Koh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wong Dryburgh. The Ashton-under-Lyne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wong Dryburgh should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Selsdon City had played much better football throughout.
