Spectators: 7137 (Terracing: 5300, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 60) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gara Paine started the match with the kick off. Rifki Yi-Sheng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tan Sim's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Tan Hock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caversham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tan Hock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dale Cheng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Grasmere AFC's zone, Khairul Chai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dale Cheng came out of the goal and Khairul Chai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the match, Tan Sim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rifki Yi-Sheng. Caversham FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tan Sim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Dale Politiek kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Tan Hock kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dale Cheng. That made the score 1-1 in the 14 minute of play. Bakar Chan struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Dale Cheng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caversham FC. Dale Cheng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tan Hock in the 23rd minute. Zak Lam kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Clive Lee's late challenge caught a Grasmere AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clive Lee helped the player get up and apologised. Tan Hock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Cheng having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Caversham FC's Shahiran Boon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dale Cheng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joel Yang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Tan Hock made the kick off in the second half. Bakar Chan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Cheng having to interfere. The supporters of Caversham FC booed when Grasmere AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azam Hian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dale Cheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tan Hock in the 61st minute of the match. Rifki Yi-Sheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gara Paine in the 64th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Rifki Yi-Sheng successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rifki Yi-Sheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gara Paine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Grasmere AFC booed when Caversham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azly Chong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rifki Yi-Sheng made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Tan Sim sent off a good shot on target. Rifki Yi-Sheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gara Paine in the 78th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Grasmere AFC's Tan Sim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rifki Yi-Sheng made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 87 minutes into the match, Grasmere AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tan Hock came free, but Dale Cheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tan Hock might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dale Cheng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tan Hock ran back to his position shaking his head. Tan Hock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Cheng having to interfere. Grasmere AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
