The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Scofton City's Adam Ching played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Wenyong in the 5th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Arif Wenyong put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Adam Ching. Wong Chien-Kwan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Milton Warriors's Wong Chien-Kwan in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Adam Ching didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wong Chien-Kwan went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Wong Chien-Kwan took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adam Ching. Adam Ching dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. If Wong Chien-Kwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Scofton City's goal looked a bit too open when Wong Chien-Kwan came free, but Adam Ching reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Milton Warriors's Arif Wenyong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adam Ching made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerry Low stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wong Chien-Kwan in the 52nd minute of play forced Scofton City's goalkeeper Adam Ching to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Wong Chien-Kwan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wong Chien-Kwan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Ching having to make a save. Arif Wenyong took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adam Ching. Adam Ching dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Muhammad Seng charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Muhammad Seng the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Scofton City's Muhammad Seng got a free kick in the 65th minute. Alif Hoe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Adam Ching tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wong Chien-Kwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milton Warriors played a much better game than Scofton City and deserved their victory. The Scofton City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
