Spectators: 4900 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 900, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wong Chien-Kwan took the kick off in the first half of the match. Arif Wenyong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Gerard Liang made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Milton Warriors's Wong Chien-Kwan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gerard Liang. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. With a little luck, Formby's Gerard Liang got control of the ball when Arif Wenyong tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gerard Liang came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Milton Warriors's Arif Wenyong. But to his dismay, Arif Wenyong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Formby's Gerard Liang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Formby from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Alif Hoe in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Formby's Daniel Hongyi. If Arif Paine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gerard Liang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wong Chien-Kwan in the 20th minute of the match. Formby's Gerard Liang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Formby from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the game, Wong Chien-Kwan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Gerard Liang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With an all-out effort, Milton Warriors's Gerard Liang threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wong Chien-Kwan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arif Wenyong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Gerard Liang made a huge save. After having played for 37 minutes, Shahron Hui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shahron Hui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Prime Siang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faiz Chee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute Arif Wenyong suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Milton Warriors made a substitution. Hafriz Wenyong replaced Arif Wenyong. The supporters of Milton Warriors booed when Formby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shah Hong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prime Siang kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Hafriz Wenyong kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gerard Liang. That made the score 4-0 in the 45 minute of play. If Hafriz Wenyong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Gerard Liang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hafriz Wenyong in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Formby's Steven Mathews got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute Hafriz Wenyong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerard Liang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Wong Chien-Kwan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerard Liang was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 68 minutes into the game, Wong Chien-Kwan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Gerard Liang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Formby defense, Lamar Chan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerard Liang. The Formby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerard Liang should have stopped the shot. Formby's Daniel Hongyi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alif Hoe in the 78 minute of the game. After having played for 80 minutes, Wong Chien-Kwan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Milton Warriors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wong Chien-Kwan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hafriz Wenyong in the 83rd minute of play forced Formby's goalkeeper Gerard Liang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerard Liang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hafriz Wenyong in the 86th minute of the match. Formby's Gerard Liang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hafriz Wenyong in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Milton Warriors's Hafriz Wenyong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gerard Liang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Gerard Liang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lamar Chan, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Formby's goal looked a bit too open when Wong Chien-Kwan came free, but Gerard Liang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Milton Warriors players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
