Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Dennis Sheene started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Mitamlanes FC's Camron Coombe seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Camron Coombe the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mitamlanes FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Camron Coombe had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 4th minute, one of Mitamlanes FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mitamlanes FC. Arif Chian placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 7 minutes, Arif Chian made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mitamlanes FC's Hidayat Tian tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Jason Blakeley dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arif Dhanabalan, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darren Mullen during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes Mitamlanes FC got a freekick which was hit by Darren Mullen. Hidayat Tian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Seng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cliff Holbrook recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hidayat Tian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rifki Hoe in the 28th minute of the match. Hidayat Tian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Azli Dryburgh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th match minute, Mitamlanes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jason Blakeley to maneuver through the defense. Hidayat Tian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Seng in the 39th minute of play. After 41 minutes of play, Abbey Wood's Alex Seng made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hidayat Tian was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 44 played minutes Mitamlanes FC got a freekick which was hit by Khai Yeo. The supporters of Mitamlanes FC booed when Abbey Wood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Chian didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Azli Dryburgh to strike the kick off in the second half. If Afiq Low had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arif Dhanabalan came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Mitamlanes FC's Cliff Holbrook. But to his dismay, Cliff Holbrook quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Alex Seng took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Hidayat Tian to make any attempt to save it. Alex Seng hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Cliff Holbrook came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Mitamlanes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cliff Holbrook couldn't finish the play. Mitamlanes FC's Hidayat Tian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Mitamlanes FC from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the match, Mitamlanes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Seng came free, but Hidayat Tian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Seng during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Abbey Wood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Seng to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Abbey Wood's Azli Dryburgh dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Hidayat Tian came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Abbey Wood's Azli Dryburgh. But to his dismay, Azli Dryburgh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. With a little luck, Mitamlanes FC's Hidayat Tian got control of the ball when Azli Dryburgh tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Abbey Wood's Alex Seng slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hidayat Tian. That made the score 2-6 after 93 minutes of play. The Abbey Wood supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Abbey Wood would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
