Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Muhammad Politiek started the match with the kick off. Hawkcombe's Shahiran Chee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muhammad Politiek in the 4th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Poulton-Le-Fylde's goalkeeper Ron Ning had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faizal Rajah. Ron Ning made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Faizal Rajah sent off a good shot on target. Muhammad Politiek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shahiran Chee having to interfere. Faizal Rajah who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Ron Ning when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ron Ning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danish Henderson in the 19th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Poulton-Le-Fylde got a freekick which was hit by Darren Cho. Ron Ning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danish Henderson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shahiran Chee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhammad Politiek, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Shahron Seng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hawkcombe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poulton-Le-Fylde the free kick. Shahron Seng kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Danish Chong hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. A collision led to Poulton-Le-Fylde getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Danish Chong hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Danish Henderson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Ning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Poulton-Le-Fylde's goal looked a bit too open when Shahron Seng came free, but Ron Ning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faizal Rajah got free with Ron Ning in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, Hawkcombe's goal looked a bit too open when Muhammad Politiek came free, but Shahiran Chee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arif Dyce fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poulton-Le-Fylde's protests and gave Arif Dyce a yellow card for diving instead. Poulton-Le-Fylde's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Danish Henderson 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danish Henderson was the one to do the kick off. Darren Cho charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darren Cho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th match minute, Poulton-Le-Fylde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Cho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danish Henderson in the 60th minute of play forced Poulton-Le-Fylde's goalkeeper Ron Ning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Poulton-Le-Fylde's Ron Ning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faizal Rajah in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rdth minute of the game Danish Henderson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poulton-Le-Fylde's Ron Ning was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, Arif Dyce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 minutes of play, Hawkcombe's Jithu Peng made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ron Ning was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th minute, Muhammad Politiek fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ron Sim made in the 84th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jithu Peng immediately put the ball in play. After a rather tough play, Poulton-Le-Fylde's Muhammad Politiek got a free kick in the 86th minute. Shahron Seng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Ning having to interfere.
