Poulton-Le-Fylde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dunchurch the free kick. Muhammad Politiek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Noh Lum when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Poulton-Le-Fylde's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Vijiaratnam came free, but Ron Ning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Hidayat Hian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Poulton-Le-Fylde's goal looked a bit too open when Shah Kang came free, but Ron Ning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Vijiaratnam in the 29th minute of play forced Poulton-Le-Fylde's goalkeeper Ron Ning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Poulton-Le-Fylde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hidayat Hian to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Zafran Yeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Poulton-Le-Fylde's Hamir Tian got a free kick in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Dunchurch's Noh Lum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muhammad Politiek in the 51st minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Ron Ning successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Muhammad Politiek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Poulton-Le-Fylde's goalkeeper Ron Ning had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ali Vijiaratnam. Ron Ning made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Ali Vijiaratnam sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Dunchurch's Ali Vijiaratnam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ron Ning. That made the score 1-3 after 72 minutes of play. A collision led to Poulton-Le-Fylde getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Hidayat Hian hit a great ball. Ron Ning acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hidayat Lee. In the 88th minute Khai Pillai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Ning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Poulton-Le-Fylde getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Daniz Soon hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Poulton-Le-Fylde's goal looked a bit too open when Khai Pillai came free, but Ron Ning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Dunchurch were awarded a corner. Jerry Hsin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Jerry Hsin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Poulton-Le-Fylde's Ron Ning did a great save. Noh Lum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danish Chong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Poulton-Le-Fylde supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dunchurch's performance. The match ended with a win for Dunchurch.
