The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Truro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Darryl Lee. Jithu Gopala Pillai didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mujahid Soon went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 15 minutes into the match, Truro AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tan Seah came free, but Jithu Gopala Pillai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hidayat Hsin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tan Peng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tan Peng made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Hidayat Hsin sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Truro AFC's goalkeeper Jithu Gopala Pillai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Khai Tuan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jithu Gopala Pillai was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Tan Peng made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Hidayat Hsin sent off a good shot on target. Mujahid Soon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jithu Gopala Pillai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mujahid Soon in the 32nd minute of the match. Jithu Gopala Pillai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tan Seah, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Hidayat Hsin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tan Peng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tan Seah made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Sarb Chian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 66 minutes, Hidayat Hsin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Truro AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hidayat Hsin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gage Vijiaratnam kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Lee Soon led 70 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. BATMAN FC's Tan Peng became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-2. Jithu Gopala Pillai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mujahid Soon in the 75th minute. BATMAN FC's Tan Peng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hidayat Hsin in the 80th minute of play. If Sarb Chian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hidayat Hsin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tan Peng having to interfere. Tan Peng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sarb Chian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tan Peng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hidayat Hsin in the 93rd minute of play. The BATMAN FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
