Spectators: 7016 (Terracing: 5210, Seating: 1806, VIP seats: 0) When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Bakar Siang sped through Truro AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jithu Gopala Pillai. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bakar Siang in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jithu Gopala Pillai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Whickham fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Whickham's Bakar Siang looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Truro AFC's Jithu Gopala Pillai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bakar Siang in the 19th minute of play. Jithu Gopala Pillai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bakar Siang's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 36th match minute, Truro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darryl Lee to maneuver through the defense. When Whickham's Bakar Siang in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Truro AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Bakar Siang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Truro AFC's Jithu Gopala Pillai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After taking down the ball on Whickham's corner Zafran Vijiaratnam fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jithu Gopala Pillai quite easily take care of the ball. If Bineesh Sarangapani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afiz Kool sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Zafran Vijiaratnam struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Jithu Gopala Pillai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whickham. If Bakar Siang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khairil Hui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jithu Gopala Pillai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bakar Siang in the 68th minute of play. Jithu Gopala Pillai was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bakar Siang showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 72 minute of play. Bakar Siang's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Jithu Gopala Pillai skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jithu Gopala Pillai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afriz Sarangapani in the 82nd minute of play. Bakar Siang in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jithu Gopala Pillai, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Bakar Siang came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Whickham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bakar Siang couldn't finish the play. The Truro AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Whickham were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
