Tan Seah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th match minute, West Kirby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mujahid Paine to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darryl Lam in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tan Peng saved BATMAN FC from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, West Kirby's goal looked a bit too open when Tan Seah came free, but Azli Siong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the West Kirby defense, Tan Seah kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Azli Siong. The West Kirby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Azli Siong should have stopped the shot. Khai Tuan's late challenge caught a West Kirby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Khai Tuan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Khai Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tan Peng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darryl Lam's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Darryl Lam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Darryl Lam managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Kirby's supporters rose to their feet, but Darryl Lam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tan Peng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tan Peng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darryl Lam in the 44th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Darryl Lam made a kick off. The supporters of BATMAN FC booed when West Kirby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Politiek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohammad Pieng took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Azli Siong. West Kirby's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mujahid Paine kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. West Kirby's Darryl Lam got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, West Kirby's Mujahid Paine got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Azli Siong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tan Seah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mujahid Paine fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored West Kirby's protests and gave Mujahid Paine a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of BATMAN FC booed when West Kirby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mujahid Paine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mujahid Paine kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Darryl Lam notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of BATMAN FC's Tan Peng. Tan Peng was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
