Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gage Laycock started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Afiz Tuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haslingden's supporters rose to their feet, but Afiz Tuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. SK Sum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 6 minutes into the game, Barnard Castle AFC's Alif Lee nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shahiran Tioe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 11thth minute of the game Rudy Hong who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haslingden's Shahiran Tioe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Barnard Castle AFC's goalkeeper SK Sum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afiz Tuan. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arif Teo during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Choo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. SK Sum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SK Sum was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Daniel Choo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Choo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. When Daniel Choo fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haslingden's protests and gave Daniel Choo a yellow card for diving instead. Daniel Choo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Afiz Tuan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 47 minutes, Shah Dyce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barnard Castle AFC and the Haslingden players grew even worse after the yellow card.

48 minutes into the match, Haslingden's Ron Shyan shot a high long ball. Barnard Castle AFC's goalkeeper was lucky when the ball hit the right post and out. The wind increased when Daniel Choo made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Haslingden's goalkeeper Shahiran Tioe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alif Lee. SK Sum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afiz Tuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Gage Laycock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shahiran Tioe having to interfere. Shahiran Tioe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gage Laycock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ron Shyan kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Barnard Castle AFC booed when Haslingden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Ee didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Gage Laycock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alif Lee in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shahiran Tioe saved Haslingden from getting behind. Barnard Castle AFC's SK Sum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afiz Tuan in the 72nd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Haslingden's goal looked a bit too open when Gage Laycock came free, but Shahiran Tioe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afiz Tuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. SK Sum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afiz Tuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. SK Sum stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Choo's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. The Haslingden supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Barnard Castle AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Barnard Castle AFC.
