Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 156) With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Teo in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Didi Choo saved Merlion Park MZT from getting behind. SK Swee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Hsin, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. If Ronn Pieng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Hamir Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. When Merlion Park MZT's Gabriel Hsin in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bridlington's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Teo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Didi Choo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 minutes, Wong Swee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merlion Park MZT and the Bridlington players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Wong Swee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Merlion Park MZT's Wei Xuan Abisheganaden got a free kick in the 36th minute. When Ronn Pieng came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Bridlington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronn Pieng couldn't finish the play. Merlion Park MZT's Didi Choo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronn Pieng in the 40th minute of play. Fariz Lam hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Mark Teo struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Didi Choo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bridlington. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronn Pieng stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Didi Choo managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Bridlington's Mark Teo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Merlion Park MZT fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Merlion Park MZT's Hamir Tan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mark Teo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Didi Choo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bridlington's SK Swee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Hsin in the 65th minute of play. SK Swee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Hsin in the 66th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Bridlington's Fariz Lam tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. SK Swee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamir Tan in the 75th minute of play. Hamir Tan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without SK Swee having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, Ronn Pieng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bridlington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronn Pieng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Hong's late challenge caught a Merlion Park MZT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Hong helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bridlington's Samuel Hong got a free kick in the 85th minute. Mark Teo struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Didi Choo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bridlington. After 90 played minutes Bridlington got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Hong. 91 minutes into the match, Merlion Park MZT's Darryl Yip broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Wong Swee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wong Swee hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Merlion Park MZT had won after a very even match.
