The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Hamir Tan came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Merlion Park MZT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamir Tan couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, Little Comberton AFC's goalkeeper Amir Cheng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamir Tan. Hamir Tan came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Amir Cheng could save by the left post. 16 minutes into the match, Little Comberton AFC's goalkeeper Amir Cheng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamir Tan. Wong Swee kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Little Comberton AFC's Amir Cheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wong Swee in the 26th minute of play. A hard shot 29 in the game by Gabriel Hsin from a close distance when the talented Amir Cheng managed to make a qualified save. Little Comberton AFC's players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Hsin in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amir Cheng saved Little Comberton AFC from getting behind. When Hamir Tan came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Merlion Park MZT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamir Tan couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

55 minutes into the match, Little Comberton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hamir Tan came free, but Amir Cheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gabriel Hsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Faris Cheng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Merlion Park MZT's Darryl Yip tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Faris Cheng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Didi Choo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. If Hamir Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Hsin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amir Cheng having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Little Comberton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Hsin came free, but Amir Cheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Hsin in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amir Cheng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Hamir Tan came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Merlion Park MZT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamir Tan couldn't finish the play. Didi Choo made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Sarb Siong sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Hamir Tan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amir Cheng was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 85th minute, Gabriel Hsin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amir Cheng was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After a rather tough play, Little Comberton AFC's Faiz Tee got a free kick in the 90th minute. After 93 played minutes Little Comberton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fariz Koh. Hamir Tan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amir Cheng having to make a save. In the 96th minute, Hamir Tan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amir Cheng was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Merlion Park MZT fans cheered their team off the field, for while Little Comberton AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
