The referee ignored Merlion Park MZT's protests and gave Faiz Chian a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Merlion Park MZT's Faiz Chian got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Hamir Tan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merlion Park MZT's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamir Tan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alam Tan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Khai Dyce's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Didi Choo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Khai Dyce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Didi Choo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Hsin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peacehaven's goalkeeper Alam Tan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Shafiq Politiek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute of the match Darryl Yip shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alam Tan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alam Tan had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Darryl Yip's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Merlion Park MZT's zone, Khai Dyce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Didi Choo came out of the goal and Khai Dyce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peacehaven's Khai Dyce got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Hsin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Shafiq Politieks short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Didi Choo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hamir Tan struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Alam Tan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merlion Park MZT. Alam Tan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Hsin in the 54th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Khai Dyce could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Didi Choo however easily saved by the left post. If Khai Dyce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hamir Tan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Wong Swee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Wei Xuan Abisheganaden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Alam Wah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Peacehaven's zone, Hamir Tan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alam Tan came out of the goal and Hamir Tan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the match, Merlion Park MZT's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Tuan came free, but Didi Choo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Khairul Lee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 80 minutes, Joel Tuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peacehaven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Tuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hamir Tan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Khai Dyce took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Didi Choo. Didi Choo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Didi Choo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Khai Dyce went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Alam Tan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamir Tan in the 92nd minute of the match. When Peacehaven's Joel Tuan in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merlion Park MZT's goalie prevented a goal.
