Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adam Peng started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Lee Chai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wong Dyce struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Amir Siong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for J.P.. Hidayat Singh scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amir Siong, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Shahron Hock had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sajeev Soon. J.P.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shahron Hock was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Azam Tee blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sajeev Soon having to make a save. Jerry Leng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sajeev Soon having to interfere. Jerry Leng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Sajeev Soon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darren Soon's late challenge caught a J.P.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darren Soon helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of J.P. booed when St Johns Wood United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darren Soon didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lee Namasivayam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in J.P.'s zone, Jerry Leng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sajeev Soon came out of the goal and Jerry Leng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, J.P.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Azam Tee fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Shahron Hock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Sajeev Soon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 48 played minutes J.P. got a freekick which was hit by Hidayat Singh. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Azam Tee made a kick off. After a rather tough play, J.P.'s Famih Yi-Sheng got a free kick in the 54th minute. Wei Xuan Tuan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Hidayat Singh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sajeev Soon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Leng in the 74th minute of the match. Lee Namasivayam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shahron Hock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sajeev Soon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Azam Tee, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Shahron Hock came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the St Johns Wood United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shahron Hock couldn't finish the play. Jerry Leng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sajeev Soon having to interfere.
