Azli Chong kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Anil Chian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ong Nair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, J.P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Anil Chian came free, but Sajeev Soon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Anil Chian made a precise shot to the right of Sajeev Soon. J.P.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Anil Chian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anil Chian might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sajeev Soon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anil Chian ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ong Nair in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sajeev Soon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sajeev Soon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anil Chian, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Ong Nair struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Sajeev Soon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Polperro. When Polperro's Anil Chian in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye J.P.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th minute Ong Nair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sajeev Soon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Anil Chian came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Polperro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anil Chian couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute Ong Nair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sajeev Soon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Polperro booed when J.P. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alif Abdul didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ong Nair in the 42nd minute of play forced J.P.'s goalkeeper Sajeev Soon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sajeev Soon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ong Nair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adam Peng to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ong Nair got free with Sajeev Soon in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 54 played minutes J.P. got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Lee. Sajeev Soon made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Ong Nair sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute Anil Chian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sajeev Soon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ong Nair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anil Chian in the 71st minute of play forced J.P.'s goalkeeper Sajeev Soon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alif Abdul's late challenge caught a Polperro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alif Abdul helped the player get up and apologised. Sajeev Soon made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Ong Nair sent off a good shot on target. Ong Nair was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Polperro's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sajeev Soon made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Ong Nair sent off a good shot on target. If Ong Nair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Anil Chian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in J.P.'s zone, Ong Nair stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sajeev Soon came out of the goal and Ong Nair tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Khai Chandran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ong Nair took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sajeev Soon. Sajeev Soon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When the final whistle sounded Polperro left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than J.P..
