Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zak Peng in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jithu Lim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Malvern FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Clive Lee hit a great ball. After 18 minutes of play, Liverpool FC's Zak Peng made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jithu Lim was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Malvern FC booed when Liverpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darren Chien-Kwan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Clive Lee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Joel Namasivayam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Chan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zak Peng made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Zak Peng recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jithu Lim. Zak Peng showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 55th match minute, Liverpool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khairil Lee to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Joel Namasivayam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arif Chan. Liverpool FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Namasivayam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Mark Keng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jithu Amin came free, but Arif Chan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arif Chan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amirul Hui, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Arif Chan came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Malvern FC's Jonathan Sarangapani. But to his dismay, Jonathan Sarangapani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 74 minutes into the match, Malvern FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Keng came free, but Jithu Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arif Chan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Namasivayam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Malvern FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zak Peng fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Khairil Lee got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Arif Chan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Amirul Hui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Malvern FC fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Malvern FC's Amirul Hui looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Malvern FC fully deserved thier win.
