Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Marlow's Jerry Leng got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Steven Lim charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Steven Lim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Westcliff on Sea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Lim to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Afriz Abisheganaden notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Westcliff on Sea's Clive Chian. Clive Chian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Faizal Teo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victor Seng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Gabriel Chong made a huge save. Gabriel Chong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rifqi Seah, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Afriz Abisheganaden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marlow's supporters rose to their feet, but Afriz Abisheganaden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clive Chian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriel Chong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rifqi Seah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Merlin Shyan's shot from long distance in the 25th minute was not bad at all, but Marlow's Gabriel Chong knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Rifqi Seah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Chong having to make a save. Rifqi Seah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Chong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rifqi Seah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Marlow's Afriz Abisheganaden in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Westcliff on Sea's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34th minute, Afriz Abisheganaden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clive Chian was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Afriz Abisheganaden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Clive Chian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Seng might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Chong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Seng ran back to his position shaking his head. If Faizal Teo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Marlow were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afriz Abisheganaden made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faizal Teo in the 52nd minute of play forced Westcliff on Sea's goalkeeper Clive Chian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Seng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rifqi Seah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Faizal Teo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes Westcliff on Sea got a freekick which was hit by Steven Lim. Faizal Teo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Victor Seng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westcliff on Sea's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Seng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Westcliff on Sea's Clive Chian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Westcliff on Sea from getting a goal against them. After 86 minutes, Lee Chee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westcliff on Sea and the Marlow players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 played minutes Westcliff on Sea got a freekick which was hit by Lee Chee. Marlow's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
