Shahiran Kool made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rueben Appleton in the 35th minute of play. With his leg Mark Osbourn managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Southbourne's Alex Lee fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Chadderton United getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Rueben Appleton hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rifki Siong was the one to do the kick off. Rueben Appleton struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Shahiran Kool didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chadderton United. Mark Osbourn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rifki Siong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mark Osbourn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rifki Siong in the 69th minute of the match. When Liam Fairbank fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chadderton United's protests and gave Liam Fairbank a yellow card for diving instead. Liam Fairbank kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rifki Siong in the 82nd minute of play forced Chadderton United's goalkeeper Mark Osbourn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
