Alex Pillai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zafran Peng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but SK Siong read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Alex Pillai struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Rudy Seng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moussy Pirates. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Rudy Seng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Pillai went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 65 minutes into the match, Portreath's goal looked a bit too open when Noh Nagasaki came free, but Rudy Seng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
