Danial Sum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gara Wah having to interfere. Gara Wah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shukrie Pillai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shukrie Pillai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gara Wah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gara Wah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shukrie Pillai in the 26th minute of the match. Congresbury FC's Gara Wah proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Congresbury FC from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shukrie Pillai to strike the kick off in the second half. Congresbury FC's Gara Wah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danial Sum in the 58th minute of play. Rifqi Pieng was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Rifqi Pieng hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Stanway FC's Alan Ning got a free kick in the 68th minute. Stanway FC were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Congresbury FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tan Seng took the corner. Gerard Teo made a great header on Stanway FC's corner, it was just that Congresbury FC's Gara Wah managed to reach the ball for a save.
