Steven Hongyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Sum, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Cranbrook's Lee Abdul sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniz Chai narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jerry Yeo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Hongyi having to interfere. Steven Hongyi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Yeo in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Sajeev Siong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, one of Shirebrook:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Shirebrook. The referee gave Cranbrook a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Afiz Dryburgh, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Shirebrook's Daniz Chai. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerry Yeo was the one to do the kick off. Ryan Sum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Steven Hongyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Jerry Yeo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shirebrook's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Yeo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steven Hongyi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ryan Sum got free with Steven Hongyi in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zack Chee in the 72nd minute of play forced Shirebrook's goalkeeper Daniz Chai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, Shirebrook was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sajeev Siong to maneuver through the defense. Jerry Yeo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Sajeev Siong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jerry Yeo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Shirebrook fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerry Yeo couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Cranbrook getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Lee Abdul hit a great ball. Jerry Yeo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Steven Hongyi 99 minutes into the match. Shirebrook's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
