The referee showed Shafiq Mathews the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Wythenshaw's Shafiq Mathews got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 20 played minutes Wythenshaw got a freekick which was hit by Sean Abdul. The long shot by Ong Ning in the 21st minute really tested Faizal Koh's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 23 minutes of play Wythenshaw's Sean Abdul was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Sean Abdul kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When Launceston's Khairil Wah in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wythenshaw's goalie prevented a goal. Amir Chong's late challenge caught a Wythenshaw's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amir Chong helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Launceston's Amir Chong got a free kick in the 30th minute. Faiz Soon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wei Xuan Cho having to interfere. Gerard Chong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wei Xuan Cho having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Gerard Chong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wythenshaw's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Launceston the free kick. Gerard Chong kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Wei Xuan Cho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faiz Soon in the 46th minute of play. Khairil Wah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Khairil Wah stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Wythenshaw getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Alex Yeo hit a great ball. Faizal Koh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ong Chong went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Khairil Wah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faizal Koh having to interfere. In the 61st minute Ong Chong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faizal Koh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Launceston's zone, Faiz Soon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wei Xuan Cho came out of the goal and Faiz Soon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darren Chian might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wei Xuan Cho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darren Chian ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ong Chong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faizal Koh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khairil Wah in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Wythenshaw's Gerard Chong got a free kick in the 90th minute. Faizal Koh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ong Chong in the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Wythenshaw's goal looked a bit too open when Khairil Wah came free, but Faizal Koh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
