Combe Martian United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Sid Sparkes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danish Nair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Chew's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stevie Land was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Graham Busby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Shyan having to interfere. Wei Xuan Chong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Stevie Land tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Wei Xuan Chong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Combe Martian United's supporters rose to their feet, but Wei Xuan Chong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stevie Land breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stevie Land showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danish Nair in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danish Nair in the 42nd minute of play forced Redcar's goalkeeper Stevie Land to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Redcar's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Danish Nair fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Graham Busby to strike the kick off in the second half. If Wei Xuan Chong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danish Nair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie Land having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Jasper Southgate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Danish Nair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute Danish Nair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevie Land saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Redcar's zone, Wei Xuan Chong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stevie Land came out of the goal and Wei Xuan Chong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danish Nair recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 played minutes Redcar got a freekick which was hit by Pete Wagstaff. Jonathan Chew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie Land having to interfere. Danish Nair struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Stevie Land didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Combe Martian United. If Jonathan Chew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Combe Martian United's Danish Nair nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stevie Land made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The audience was convinced that Danish Nair's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stevie Land was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Stevie Land stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Chew's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Combe Martian United had played much better football throughout.
