In the 3rd minute of the game Prime Chian made a throw-in which Faris Kang played forward. Faiz Chien-Kwan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Marco Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alois Hořava fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fordham's protests and gave Alois Hořava a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fordham's Alois Hořava got a free kick in the 8th minute. Ron Soon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alexander Teo came out and tried to block the shot, but Ron Soon slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. If Rifqi Wah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Teo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rifki Low in the 21st minute. If Hidayat Teo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marco Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Low, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rifqi Wah struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Alexander Teo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fordham. Fordham's Ron Soon got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hidayat Teo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Runcorn booed when Fordham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tan Soon didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Runcorn's Alexander Teo got control of the ball when Rifki Low tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Didi Low to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Fordham's goalkeeper Marco Saldanha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hidayat Teo. Marco Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Low in the 53rd minute of play. After 59 minutes, Rifki Low mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fordham and the Runcorn players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fordham getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rifki Low hit a great ball. The supporters of Runcorn booed when Fordham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rifki Low didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rifqi Wah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Azam Hsi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexander Teo. Runcorn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Azam Hsi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Alois Hořava had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alexander Teo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Azam Hsi in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74thth minute of the game Azam Hsi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Runcorn's Alexander Teo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 79 played minutes Fordham got a freekick which was hit by Rifki Low. Alexander Teo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Azam Hsi's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute Azam Hsi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Teo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Teo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Azam Hsi, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Alexander Teo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Azam Hsi in the 93rd minute of the match.
