When Sarb Chee came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Shapitears FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sarb Chee couldn't finish the play. Sean Yeo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khairul Kang having to interfere. Azly Braddell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, one of Shapitears FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Shapitears FC. When Shapitears FC's Sarb Chee in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liversedge's goalie prevented a goal. When Liversedge's Sean Lim in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sean Yeo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Khairul Kang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sean Lim struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Khairul Kang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liversedge. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Yeo in the 39th minute of play forced Shapitears FC's goalkeeper Khairul Kang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liversedge's Sean Lim got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Shapitears FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Liversedge were winning 0-2.

In the 53rd minute, Sean Lim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liversedge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When Firdauz Hoe fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liversedge's protests and gave Firdauz Hoe a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Liversedge getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Firdauz Hoe hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Liversedge's goal looked a bit too open when Azly Braddell came free, but Jithu Tioe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sean Yeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th minute, one of Shapitears FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Shapitears FC. The referee gave Liversedge a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wong Swee, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Shapitears FC's Khairul Kang. 0-4. Firdauz Hoe hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Azly Braddell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shapitears FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Azly Braddell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Farhan Vijiaratnam kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Jithu Tioe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sarb Chee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Firdauz Hoe was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. In the 85th match minute, Liversedge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Firdauz Hoe to maneuver through the defense. Liversedge's Jithu Tioe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Azly Braddell in the 87th minute of play. Sean Yeo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sean Lim struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Khairul Kang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liversedge. When the match was over Liversedge could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Shapitears FC throughout the match.
