In the 3rd minute of the match, Gara Chong tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Azli Gopala Pillai saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Azli Gopala Pillai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Didi Seng in the 5th minute. A collision led to Alwinton United getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Rifki Nair hit a great ball. Steven Sarangapani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Didi Seng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Azli Gopala Pillai made a huge save. Azli Gopala Pillai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gara Chong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 played minutes Alwinton United got a freekick which was hit by Alex Ning. Lee Seng's late challenge caught a Arsenal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lee Seng helped the player get up and apologised. 23 minutes into the game, one of Alwinton United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 29 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Sarangapani came free, but Darryl Yi-Sheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ang Kool had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alwinton United's Steven Sarangapani got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gara Chong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Azli Gopala Pillai having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ang Kool to strike the kick off in the second half. Didi Seng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Azli Gopala Pillai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Azli Gopala Pillai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gara Chong in the 56th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Alwinton United's goal looked a bit too open when Gara Chong came free, but Azli Gopala Pillai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alwinton United's Azli Gopala Pillai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gara Chong in the 66th minute of play. Steven Sarangapani in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Darryl Yi-Sheng, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alwinton United's Azli Gopala Pillai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Seng in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Amirul Wah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alwinton United's supporters rose to their feet, but Amirul Wah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darryl Yi-Sheng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ang Kool received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Darryl Yi-Sheng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Steven Sarangapani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darryl Yi-Sheng was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a rather tough play, Alwinton United's Amirul Wah got a free kick in the 90th minute. Amirul Wah charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amirul Wah the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Azli Gopala Pillai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Seng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
