Cliff Workman was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Anil Amin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anil Amin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Ronn Chew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Pitts in the 12th minute of play. Haziq Keng hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes Nailsworth AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gerard Chian. The referee gave Macclesfield United a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Den Robinson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nailsworth AFC's Ronn Chew. 1-1. A hard shot 32 in the game by Zak Teo from a close distance when the talented Cliff Workman managed to make a qualified save. Macclesfield United's players were relieved. In the 34th minute, Zak Teo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cliff Workman, passed just outside the right post. If Adrian Pitts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deon Branch in the 42nd minute of play forced Nailsworth AFC's goalkeeper Ronn Chew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cliff Workman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anil Amin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zane Forrester during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zak Teo took the ball and in the 49 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cliff Workman. Cliff Workman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.

Nailsworth AFC's Haziq Keng got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute Zak Teo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cliff Workman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deon Branch was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Macclesfield United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Adrian Pitts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronn Chew having to interfere. Anil Amin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Macclesfield United's Deon Branch in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nailsworth AFC's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Nailsworth AFC's Ronn Chew got control of the ball when Adrian Pitts tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Macclesfield United's goal looked a bit too open when Anil Amin came free, but Cliff Workman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Adrian Pitts recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ronn Chew. Adrian Pitts showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Zak Teo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
