Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 6011, Seating: 1330, VIP seats: 159) Fordham's Ron Soon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Rifki Low was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fordham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester United the free kick. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Fordham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rifki Low didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hidayat Liang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fordham's goalkeeper Marco Saldanha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Alois Hořava got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ron Soon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ong Vijiaratnam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rifki Low kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Faiz Ee made in the 23rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Prime Rajah however managed to control. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United's zone, Rifqi Wah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ong Vijiaratnam came out of the goal and Rifqi Wah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Victor Au hit a great ball. Ong Vijiaratnam was a little too slow when Ron Soon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Marco Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Cheng in the 35th minute of the match. Prime Rajah hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Ron Soon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Fordham's zone, Adam Cheng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Saldanha came out of the goal and Adam Cheng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darren Dhanabalan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adam Cheng was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Rifki Low suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Victor Au's late challenge caught a Fordham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Au helped the player get up and apologised. Victor Au hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Azam Hsi notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Manchester United's Ong Vijiaratnam. Ong Vijiaratnam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adam Cheng in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Wei Xuan Chong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faris Lam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Saldanha having to interfere. Fordham's Marco Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Cheng in the 81st minute of play. Faris Lam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Marco Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faris Lam in the 87th minute of the match. Fordham's Alois Hořava got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
