Cliff Workman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sarb Chee in the 4th minute of the match. The supporters of Macclesfield United booed when Shapitears FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Farhan Vijiaratnam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Khairul Kang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deon Branch in the 10th minute of the match. Deon Branch struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Khairul Kang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macclesfield United. Shapitears FC's Khairul Kang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Pitts in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Adrian Pitts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Khairul Kang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 28 played minutes, Macclesfield United's Den Robinson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Khairul Kang came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Macclesfield United reached it. The audience was convinced that Adrian Pitts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Khairul Kang was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Sarb Chee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deon Branch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Khairul Kang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Deon Branch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khairul Kang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Shapitears FC got a freekick which was hit by Gara Tuan.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sarb Chee stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adrian Pitts struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Khairul Kang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macclesfield United. If Sarb Chee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 played minutes Macclesfield United got a freekick which was hit by Doug Duffield. Sarb Chee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Shapitears FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Farhan Vijiaratnam hit a great ball. Deon Branch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Khairul Kang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Deon Branch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cliff Workman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sarb Chee in the 82nd minute of play.
