Alan Hui charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Hui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Runcorn booed when Arsenal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Hui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Didi Seng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Alexander Teo made a huge save. Darryl Yi-Sheng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hidayat Teo went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alexander Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gara Chong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gara Devan hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Arsenal FC's Alan Hui got a free kick in the 24th minute. The audience was convinced that Didi Low's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Darryl Yi-Sheng was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After 28 played minutes, Runcorn's Didi Butcher shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Darryl Yi-Sheng came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Runcorn reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Didi Seng got free with Alexander Teo in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gara Chong received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alexander Teo came out and tried to block the shot, but Gara Chong slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 39th minute. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Runcorn. Rifki Chan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Darryl Yi-Sheng. 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Didi Low stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Didi Low fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darryl Yi-Sheng having to interfere. Gara Chong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gara Chong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Runcorn's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Seng came free, but Alexander Teo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darryl Yi-Sheng came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Runcorn's Hidayat Teo. But to his dismay, Hidayat Teo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Alexander Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gara Chong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Runcorn's Darryl Yi-Sheng threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Didi Low, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Runcorn defense, Gara Chong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Teo. The Runcorn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Teo should have stopped the shot. 89 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Low came free, but Darryl Yi-Sheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Didi Seng notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of Runcorn's Alexander Teo. Alexander Teo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
