Merlin Teo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gara Sum, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Merlin Teo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bineesh Hee in the 24th minute of the match. Archway's Merlin Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aziz Shyan in the 25th minute of play. Adam Nagasaki struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ronn Chien-Kwan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Archway. Archway's Merlin Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Namasivayam in the 29th minute of play. Merlin Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Namasivayam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes Archway got a freekick which was hit by Dale Teo.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adam Nagasaki was the one to do the kick off. Merlin Teo was a little too slow when Bineesh Hee got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-2. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Gara Sum took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Merlin Teo to make any attempt to save it. With an all-out effort, Thomson9ers's Merlin Teo threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bineesh Hee, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Merlin Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bineesh Hee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gara Sum in the 77th minute of play forced Archway's goalkeeper Merlin Teo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Archway's goalkeeper Merlin Teo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zak Hui. Merlin Teo came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Thomson9ers's Alex Namasivayam. But to his dismay, Alex Namasivayam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 83 minutes into the match, Archway's goal looked a bit too open when Bineesh Hee came free, but Merlin Teo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gara Sum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Merlin Teo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
