Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonathan Lam started the match with the kick off. Cuddington's Dale Tian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shahron Dhanabalan in the 3rd minute of play. Dale Tian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Khairil Lee in the 7th minute. Shahron Dhanabalan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Khairil Lee could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Dale Tian made a huge save. Rudy Chan kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Azly Ramachandran, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Shahron Dhanabalan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Shahron Dhanabalans short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Dale Tian to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Cuddington booed when Stannington AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Tan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Stannington AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Zak Hee hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Ong Soon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zafran Ching was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Dale Tian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shahron Dhanabalan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shahron Dhanabalan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dale Tian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shahron Dhanabalan, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Shahron Dhanabalan made a kick off. Nicholas Tan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Cuddington's goal looked a bit too open when Shahron Dhanabalan came free, but Dale Tian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shahron Dhanabalan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dale Tian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Khairil Lee notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Cuddington's Dale Tian. Dale Tian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 66 minutes into the game, Shahron Dhanabalan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Dale Tian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 75th match minute, Stannington AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicholas Tan to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rudy Chan during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Cuddington's zone, Khairil Lee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dale Tian came out of the goal and Khairil Lee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cuddington's Rudy Chan got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute. The referee ordered Rudy Chan off the ground. Shahron Dhanabalan struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Dale Tian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stannington AFC. There was no doubt that Stannington AFC were the better team. Stannington AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
