After a defensive mix-up in Barton upon Humber's zone, Darryl Hsi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lamar Lam came out of the goal and Darryl Hsi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Willenhall AFC's Haziq Soon got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Pieng in the 12th minute of play forced Barton upon Humber's goalkeeper Lamar Lam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronn Vijiaratnam's late challenge caught a Barton upon Humber's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronn Vijiaratnam helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Barton upon Humber booed when Willenhall AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronn Vijiaratnam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hafriz Hee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Farhan Ching in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afriz Hsi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fariz Ching struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Afriz Hsi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barton upon Humber. Faiz Ching received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Afriz Hsi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darryl Hsi hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Willenhall AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Afriz Hsi had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Lamar Sim's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Faiz Ching sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barton upon Humber's Faiz Ching got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afriz Hsi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faiz Ching went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 43 played minutes Willenhall AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dale Pieng. Lamar Lam was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Haziq Soon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Haziq Soon really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faiz Ching made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Farhan Ching recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Afriz Hsi. Farhan Ching showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Willenhall AFC's goalkeeper Afriz Hsi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Afriz Hsi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faiz Ching, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afriz Hsi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Farhan Ching in the 59th minute of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Bryan Sim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Willenhall AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bryan Sim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Mark Lee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barton upon Humber's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Willenhall AFC the free kick. After 62 played minutes Barton upon Humber got a freekick which was hit by Mark Lee. Haziq Soon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Lamar Lam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fariz Ching fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afriz Hsi having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Haziq Soon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lamar Lam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afriz Hsi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Farhan Ching in the 78th minute. Fariz Ching sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shahron Hsin hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Afriz Hsi made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Farhan Ching sent off a good shot on target. 86 minutes into the match, Willenhall AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Faiz Ching came free, but Afriz Hsi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Farhan Ching collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Hidayat Chew's late challenge caught a Barton upon Humber's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hidayat Chew helped the player get up and apologised. Shahron Hsin kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Lamar Sim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afriz Hsi having to make a save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Willenhall AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Afriz Hsi went to the wrong direction when Lamar Sim was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Barton upon Humber's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
